Come
join Coach Kay Yow and her staff for one of the best Team Camps around! The entire
weekend is incredibly organized and will provide an outstanding opportunity for
your team to compete and grow.
These
camps offer an excellent opportunity for Middle Schools, Jr. High Schools, High
Schools and even AAU programs to receive top-level competition and team building
opportunities. Coach Yow and her staff will also provide a unique opportunity
for your team by having instructional sessions. You can tell us what you would
like to work on and we will have a time of instruction with our staff and players.
Additional practice times will also be available.
The
games will begin after a brief introduction and presentation to the entire camp.
Your team will play 8 officiated games. Most games are played in air-conditioned
Carmichael Gym, and you may also have the opportunity to play in historic Reynolds
Coliseum. You will play 2 games on the first day, 4 games on the second day, and
2 games on the final day. Awards will be given to each division champion. An official
supervisor will be on hand to answer questions and help keep the games moving
smoothly. With the games being so close to University Towers, absolutely no busing
is required once camp begins!
Depending
on the number of teams and levels of teams, we will have several divisions. Included
in that could be an AAU division, an elite, mid, lower level varsity divisions,
and JV divisions. This year we may be adding a new middle school division as well.
Based on input from coaches, your teams will be placed in one of these divisions
prior to camp.
Each
night provides a chance for coaches to mingle, trade ideas and have a bite to
eat at our Coaches Social. During these evenings, Coach Yow and our staff will
have a chance to speak. Topics include team building, X' & O's, programs history,
and usually a pretty funny story or two!
Coach
Yow and her staff take a genuine interest in making Team Camp special for each
coach and player in attendance. NC State players are available, not only during
instruction time, but also sharing their own experiences during breaks, in the
dorm or while they are just shooting around.
Teams
must have a minimum of eight players. Due to potential scheduling conflicts, each
team must have it's own coach. Each team's coach will be paid an honorarium of
$250. Additional coaches may come, but must pay room and board to accompany their
team. Camper cost is $250 per player. This cost includes room, meals, camp t-shirt,
and insurance. Each coach needs to submit all applications and deposits together.
A $50 deposit for each player is due May 20.
